Networking works.

HGN exists because of and for its members. The clue is in the name – Herefordshire Green Network. At a time when the need to tackle environmental issues is becoming ever more urgent, it is ever more important to share information about what is going on around the county and what groups are doing to combat environmental degradation. So please – send in your news; share what your group is doing; submit an opinion piece; reach out to others. Any items for inclusion in the newsletter should be sent to admin@hgnetwork.org

As well as the weekly newsletter and regular meetings, HGN run two major projects – ‘The Great Collaboration’ and ‘BUILDING SENSE’.

BUILDING SENSE is an initiative from HGN to bring together people, information and professional expertise to help with the challenge of making homes (and workplaces) comfortable year-round in the face of high heating bills and the need to cut carbon emissions. Click here to learn more.

The Great Collaboration encourages people to take actions individually, and within their parish to reduce their environmental impact by using an online toolkit. Parish Councils can use feedback from the toolkit to see what actions local people are finding hard to complete and where they need help. Click here to learn more and to sign up. Click here to read the latest newsletter from the Great Collaboration.

In the newsletter this week there is an update on the national march and protest that took place in London in April, local transport news and wildlife events to get involved with. If your group needs funding, there is an item on sourcing grants.
